WATER SUPPLY.
Two Loans to be Raised in Ashburton.
The latest issue of the “Gazette” gives the Ashburton Borough Council authority to raise two loans, one of £1450 and the other of £2300, for the purpose of maintaining the water supply in the borough. The loan of £2300 is for a period of ten years at 5 per cent, with 8 per cent sinking fund, styled the High Pressure Water-supply Extension Loan, 1933, while the £1450 loan is for a term of 20 years at 5 per cent, with 3 per cent sinking fund. It is known as the High Pressure Water-supply (Netherby) Renewal Loan, 1933.
