CANADA AND SOVIET.
United Pres* Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. OTTAWA, January 11. The negotiations in connection with the proposed oil and cattle deal between Canada and Russia are at a standstill. So far the Canadian Government has given no indication of its attitude towards the proposal, although unofficial reports credit the Prime Minister, Mr R. B. Bennett, with refusing to sanction the scheme, which involves the sale of 100,000 head of cattle to Russia.
