Campanula Calycanthema.
A Garden Corner,
r piIIS is, perhaps, the most handsome of all the Campanulas. It is better known, perhaps, as the cup and saucer Canterbury Bell from its flower formation of saucer petals surrounding the large open cup. This variety has been evolved from the old Canterbury Bell, and is miich superior to it in every way. Easily grown from seepl sown in the open almost at any time, it will give an outstanding display in the borders and for house decoration. It is true to the family colours of white, pink and blue, the pink especially being very attractive. The. roots of the Campanulas are edible. In France and Italy one variety is grown quite extensively for food. That is C. rapunculus. T. D. LENNIE.
