Leap to Death.

BERLIN, November 8. HANOVER ENGINEER named Warburg crashed 420 feet to death in an attempt to descend by parachute from the Berlin wireless tower. Warburg mounted to the upper platform with some friends. While unobserved he climbed over the railing on the parapet and jumped with the parachute, which he had secreted under his coat. The material, however, was,not strong enough to bear his weight, and he fell like a stone. His friends say that Warburg had invented a new type of parachute, but had not enough money to have a proper one made, and therefore used a makeshift one for his fatal leap. Permission for testing parachutes from the tower is never given by the authorities, on account of the great danger involved.
