TIMARU SOCIAL NOTES.

Mrs B. H. Tripp, Orielton, will arrive back from Sydney to-day. Dr Mary Barkas, Hewlings Street, has left on a visit to Auckland. Miss Dibbs, Sydney, will arrive to-day to stay with Mrs W. T. Ritchie, Te Tawa. Mrs W. Priest, Banks Street, left vesterday on a visit to her daughter, Mrs George Shirtcliffe, Wellington. Miss J. R. Barr, principal of the Girls’ High School, left yesterday on a visit to Auckland. Miss Howell, Geraldine, has left on a visit \o Mrs J. Peter, Goose Bay, Kaikoura. Miss Nancy Bridges will arrive from Wellington to-morrow to spend the holidays with her parents, Mr and Mrs G. A. Bridges, Selwyn Street. Mr and Mrs J. R. M’Kenzie left Timaru at the end of last week for London, where they will make their new home. Miss Marawell Burnett, Te Akatarawa station, Hakataramea, arrived yesterday to stay with Mrs C. C. Patterson. Wai-iti Road, for the Black-Kerr wedding, which will take place to-morrow Miss Hope and Miss Nona Pinckney. “Glenaray,” Southland, who were the guests of Mrs Basil Unwin, Silver Hill, left yesterday to stay with Mrs Howard Tripp, Wai-iti Road.
