Smallpox ’Warning Issued to Travellers. PRECAUTIONS AT COLOMBO. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 21, 9.30 a.m.) COLOMBO, December 20. There are thirty-six cases of smallpox to date in Colombo. The situation is under perfect control, and the Port Surgeon expresses the opinion that it is absolutely safe for tourists to land if they have been vaccinated. All ship workers and agents have been vaccinated and no person is allowed to board unless vaccinated. Ships entering port are warned by the authorities and the passengers arc advised that it is unsafe to land unless they have been vaccinated, but there are no restrictions regarding the landing of passengers. There was a lull during the week-end, only one case being reported.
