NEW SWIMMING RECORD.
Per Press Association. JDUNHjDIN, December 20. Swimming at the intermediate and junior provincial championships this evening, W. J. Jarvis, intermediate title-holder, won the 100 yards in 59sec, the first time the minute has been broken by an Otago swimmer. Jarvis was never extended, and won easily from It. Geddes.
