Speaking at the presentation of prizes, at the Lyttelton District High School yesterday afternoon, Mr J. M’Combs, M.P., said that we were on the threshold of a new civilisation which all present could not only see, but could help form. The depression through which we were now passing would continue until a solution to the problem of the distribution of world food supplies was solved. He sincerely hoped that the way would open for those pupils who were leaving school.
