(Received December 16, 12.30 p.m.) j WASHINGTON, December 15. Mr Hoover has appointed Colonel Nathan William MacChesney (Illin- ; ois) to be United States Minister to 1 Canada, succeeding Mr Hanford MacNider, who has resigned. Colonel MacCliesney, who is 54, was formerly a Chicago Judge.
