ST JOHN AMBULANCE.
Officers Elected at Annual Meeting. There was a large attendance at the annual meeting last evening of the Canterbury and West Coast Centre of the St John Ambulance Association. The president, Colonel the Hon Sir R. Heaton Rhodes, presided. Officers were elected as follows: President, Sir R. Heaton Rhodes; vicepresidents, Bishop West-Watson, Bishop Brodie, Lady Wigram, Dr J. R. Thomas, the Mavor of Christchurch, and representatives of Riccarton Borough Council, Sumner Borough Council, Waimairi County Council, Kaiapoi Borough Council, Southbridge Town Board, Canterbury Chamber of Commerce, Canterbury Employers’ Association., I-leathcote County Council, Christchurch Rotary Club, Canterbury Trades and Labour Council, Malvern County Council and the Winter Show executive and Y.M.C.A.; general committee, Mrs S. A. Watkins, Lieutenant-Colonel F. B. Cteswell, Dr M. G. Louisson, Messrs H. L. Bowker, C. Buchanan. A. M’Gillivray, E. B. Rees, A. Williams, L. M. Wilson and the chairman of the North Canterbury Hospital Board (representing the subscribing public), Mrs A. Bishop, Colonel F W. W. Dawson, Dr F. J. Borrie, the Rev P. Knight, Messrs F. J. Ashworth, J. W. Crampton, J. Dic-kson, G. Peek and T. F. S. Rudd (representing the brigade).
