Bookmakers will be registered in , Tasmania and should be operating early in 1933, since the Legislative Council has passed the Bookmakers' Bill. The legislation will be tried for two y’ears. The Bill provides for the establishment of betting shops in any city’ or town on the sanction of the Police Commissioner. i
