RANGI-RURU SCHOOL.

Prize-giving Ceremony Held. The Rangi-ruru School prize-giving ceremony was held in the Radiant Hall this morning, and was attended by many parents and friends. The principal, Miss Helen Gibson, ieviewed the year’s work, which she described as most satisfactory. The work of the school, she said, was to fit girls to carry on in after life on che right lines, and she stressed the necessity for the girls keeping on educating themselves after they had passed from the school. A high standard of education and culture was open to women to-day, and in New Zealand every effort should be made tenable the attainment of a standard equal to that of England and other older countries. The prizes were presented by Mrs JCracroft Wilson, who described it as a great privilege to do so at a school of such distinction. Archdeacon P. B. Haggitt congratulated Miss Gibson and her staff on thenexcellent work.
