EXCELLENT STORY.

“ Sinners in the Sun ” Opens on Saturday. “ Corsair ", starring Chester Morris, will conclude its season at the Theatre Royal to-morrow night. An interesting story, a clever cast, and splendid settings are the salient features of “ Sinners in the Sun,” which will open a season at the Theatre Royal on Saturday. The. story is cleverly worked out in this glamorous romance, which serves excellently as a vehicle for the popular players, Chester Morris, star of “ Corsair,” and Carole Lombard. Many of the scenes were filmed in the south of Fiance, and all the beauty of the Mediterranean coast has been caught by the camera man, Ray June, who was responsible for the excellent photography in “ Alibi ”. Carole Lombard plays the part of a Fifth Avenue clothes model, who will not marry her sweetheart because he has no chance of making her happy on his small salary. When he refuses to postpone the ceremony, she breaks with him altogether, and subsequently both find—and marry—rich and attractive partners. These people, however, do not seem to know the meaning of constancy in marriage, and the ex-lovers, who are still in love, find things very difficult. They meet at a popular gambling resort, where their respective spouses are enjoying the life and company immensely. From this strange mix-up of human emotions comes an intriguing finale which completely suits the story and its plot. A wonderful display of gowns is a feature of the film. Much of the play takes place in a fashionable modiste's salon, and the parade of mannequins will be of particular interest to women. Chester Morris, who is one of the most successful actors of the vounspr school, will be remembered for his act-
