WHIPPET RACING.
At a recent meeting of those interested in whippet racing held in the Islington Hall, it was decided to form a club. Mr J. Watt has given a paddock to the club. Officers were elected as follows: —President, Mr J. P. Basliford; secretary, Mr G. J. Ellen; treasurer, Mr J. Watts. It was decided to hold a working bee in a fortnight's time to get the track ready for the first meeting of the club, which is to be held shortly.
