TENNIS TOURNAMENT.
In aid. of the funds for rebuilding the ironing room at St Arine’s Home, Papanui, which was burned down recently, an enjoyable tennis party was held at the United Club’s courts yesterday afternoon. The tournament was arranged by Mrs E. E. Crawshaw and Miss Barbara Gould and the players included a number of the club members and their friends. Two prizes were donated by Mrs George Gould and Airs H. G. Wake. Afternoon tea was served in the pavilion. r,, T 2 le were:—Mesdames R. J. Richards, H. G. Wake, M. A. Stedman. B. M lies. Peppier.
