POUND SCHEME ENDS.

Weekly Report from Central Depot. The last collection made for the Pound Scheme on Saturday last was very satisfactory, the amount of goods collected being one of the best for the fifteen weeks that the scheme was running, according to the director of the Central Relief Depot, Mr J. W. Woodbury. Mr Woodbury stated this morning that the committee of the Citizens’ Relief Association -would lik*e to take the opportunity of thanking the people m the city and suburbs who had so generously contributed to the scheme. D also wished to tender its grateful thanks to all who gave their services in the way of collecting, attending the various depots and giving the use of rooms and shops for receiving depots.
