AERO CLUB.
New Social Room Opened This Afternoon. The social room which has been added to the Canterbury Aero Club's hangars at Sockburn was opened this afternoon bv the Mavor of Christchurch (Mr D. G. Sullivan, M.P.) The Mayor congratulated the club on the wonderful success it had already attained, and paid a tribute to the efficiency which had been displayed. Mr James Leslie, chairman of the Paparua County Council, also congratulated the club. Mr J. C. Guinness, vice-president of the club, presided, and apologies were received from the patron, Sir Henry Wigram. and Lady Wigram, and the president. Sir Francis Boys. Later in the afternoon flying competitions were held.
