FAIR AT PHILLISTOWN.
To raise funds for the furtherance of their work in the parish, the parishioners of Phillipstown held a spnng fair this afternoon in the Sunday School Hall. The hall presented a gay scene with the stalls attractively decorated with coloured paper flowers and streamers. while the hall itself was decorated with bowls of spring flowers and pot plants. The vicar. Mr Harold, opened the fair. He wished the organisers every success in their undertaking and said that he himself felt confident of the effort being a great success. Following are the stallholders: —Cake stall. Mesdames Palmer and Bristow; sweets, Miss Oppenheim and Bible Class girls; produce. Miss Bradwell and Mrs Chick; work. Misses Craddock and Spence; shilling. Mesdames W. C. Toughin, Godfrey and Mapplebeck: tea, Mesdames Bowley and Rogers: fancy, Mrs Bolt; books, Misses Pike and Page; entertainments, Messrs B. Rogers and J. Armitage; missionary stall, Mrs R. C. Toughin and Sunday School children'; and bran tub, Mrs Hewland and Mis 4 Murra}’.
