The greatest difficulty was experienced by the judges, fully 200 of the entries being worthy of prizes, and the remaining hundreds were close runnersup. The uniform standard of work was the highest we have yet received and speaks volumes for the work of the Circle in conducting and sustaining year after year these competitions for the interest and instruction of our readers. Finally, additional prizes were kindly awarded by the Majestic Theatre management.
