TWO GOOD DRAMAS.

Dolores del Rio at Liberty To-morrow. “ The Big Shot ” and “ Women Love Once ” will be shown at the Liberty Theatre for the last time to-night. Two good dramas will be screened"at the Liberty Theatre to-morrow. They are “ Girl of the Rio ”, in which the romantic? Dolores del Rio makes a return to the screen after two years’ absence, owing to illness, fend “Confessions of a College Girl ” ("with Sylvia Sidney and Phillips Holmes). “ Confessions of a College Girl ” projects a dramatic situation and tells a highly entertaining story. The screen story has followed faithfully the revelations of an anonymous girl who, in her diary, told the day-to-day experiences of her college days. A brilliant cast of young people, headed by Phillips Holmes, Sylvia Sidney and Norman Foster, give believable performances; and "Confessions of a College Girl” gives a true insight into the lives and loves, hopes and ambitions of the most interesting people in America to-day—the young college students.

In “ Girl of the Rio ”, Dolores del Rio plays the role of “ The Dove ”, who is forced by circumstances to dance and sing- in a riotous cafe just across the border from the United States. As in real cafes of this type—notably in Tia Juana, Juarez and Mexicali—there are scores of interesting types, Mexicans, Chinese, men on a spree, commission girls, and the ever-present, soft-spoken gamblers. Dramatically, Dolores del Rio portrays what critics have declared to be the best starring role of her career,

combining’ the poetic beauty of her work in “ Ramona ” and “ Evangeline ” with the vivacity and movement of “ What Price Glory! ” Supporting the star are L.eo Carrillo, who plays the vainglorious Don Jose Tostado, the self-proclaimed bes’ caballero in all Mexico”; Norman Foster, who wins the fair Dolores's heart; Stanley Fields and Ralph Tnce, arch villains; Edna Murphy and Frank Campeau.
