THE LEAGUE GAME.
English Team to Play South Auckland. Per Press Association. HAMILTON, August 2. The following is the English League team selected to play South Auckland at Taupiri on Thursday:— Full-back—Sullivan or Risman. Three-quarters Ellaby, Atkinson, Dinsdale, Woods. Halves—Pollard, Adams, Davis (one to be omitted). Forwards—Williams. White. Wright, Horton. Fender, Feetham, Lowe (one to be omitted). ASSOCIATION GAME. Management Committee. The Management Committee of the Canterbury Football Association met last evening. Mr W. Wardell reported on the visit of the Canterbury team to the West Coast to play for tlr© Dewar Cup. The match, he said, had produced good football. Saturday’s matches are as follows: Chatham Cup (Canterbury district final)—Thistle v. Millerton All Blacks, English Park, 3.15 p.m. (referee: Mr H. W eath erhead). Curtain raiser: Old Timers v. Technical B. English Park, 1.30 p.m. The Old Timers’ team will be selected from the following:—Backs: F. Graham, W. Watson. D. Lusks, J. Flood, W. Wardell, J. Wales. J. Dufie, W. Lee, H. M’Crteanor, F. Elisor, D. M’Gilp. Forwards: J. Nelson. E. Norman, P. jDowker, A. Bissett, W. Ward. R. Wood. A. Taylor, A. Grant, W. Perry, S. Ives. Goal: F.
