The word “ dogmatic ” is an adjective meaning “ characterised by positive assertion, making statements without argument or evidence; of the nature of or pertaining to dogma; characterised by dogmatism, opposed to critical.” It comes from “ dogma,” “ doctrine, settled opinion, accepted principle, etc.” The word “ dogma * is a direct transliteration from a Greek word which means ‘‘opinion.” It «n turn comes from “ dokeo.” meaning “ think,”
