NEW BRIGHTON COMMITTEE
A meeting of the New Brighton Relief Committee was held last evening in tho New Brighton Borough Council Chambers. Mr A. E. Lawry presided. Mr A. O’Connell, organiser of the Pound Scheme, reported that he had thirty-five canvassers, but a few more were needed. _
It was decided to write to the New Brighton Municipal Band asking it to arrange for a Sunday concert in the
Civic Theatre on September 25. The secretary, Mr S. Torepe, reported that there were 305 cases receiving assistance. . _ . , It was decided to write to the Central Relief Committee asking for assistance for the New Brighton depot.
