THE TRAM SERVICE.
Curtailment on the New
Brighton Run.
In future there will be one tram less each night to cope with the five o'clock traffic to New Brighton. At present trips are made at 5.1 p.m., 5.8 p.m. and 5.12 p.m. The Works and Traffic Committee reported to the meeting of the Tramway Board yesterday that, owing to a decline in traffic at this hour, it had decided to cut out one trip and run the others at 5.2 p.m. and 5.10 p.m., the 5.10 p.m. tram to be non-stop from Cathedral Square to Breezes Road. The report was approved.
