VOCATIONAL BUREAU.
During the last few weeks many meetings have been held in connection with unemployed youths and at times references have been made to the Y.M.G.a. Boys’ Employment Bureau and at other times to the Chamber of Commerce Bureau. This has caused some confusion, and some people have thought that two bureaux exist. The position is that the Y.M.C.A. Bureau has been in existence for many years, and when the Chamber of Commerce Boys* Employment Committee was formed it was decided to make the Y.M.C.A. the official bureau. While the Y.M.C.A. controls the bureau and assumes the whole of the financial responsibility, the closest co-operation exists between the Y.M.C.A. and the Boys’ Employment Committee, whose work is very valuable in extending interest in the question of the unemployed boj*. and in bringing influence to bear in many quarters.
