Outclassed by her cousin who returns from Paria with beautiful gowns and an intriguing reputation, Sallv decides to acquire a knowledge of the world and sets forth to conquer. In New York she visits a speakeasy, is arrested in a. raid, and through the accident of being mistaken for the wife of a wellknown man. is dismissed in court. This accident gives her the idea of going •abroad as a Mrs instead of a Miss because of the greater -advantages in having a matrimonial status. So Saliv takes the name of “Mrs Stephen Illlngton and departs for the Rue de ia Paix, where her money makes her a sensation. Unfortunately, however, Mr Jinngton (John Boles) also makes a Y? ai } }° F arls and is intrigued to find that he has a “wife.” Sally is dismayed, and when her new “ husband ” rescues her from an adventurer, she flees hastily back home for peace and quiet, only to find that her “ marriage *’ has been reported. Desperate.lv inventing a quarrel and a separation to account for the bridegroom’s absence Sally is further amazed to find that he has followed ner—under an alias. The complications that ensue lead to a swift climax.
