Carrier’s Evidence at Goode Inquiry. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. SYDNEY, June 30. Evidence at the inquiry concerning the actions of Charles J. Goode, whilst he was a railway officer, related to . gifts of poultry delivered to Goode’s i home from time to time by various j carriers. John Wainwright said that while em- i ployed by Yellow Express Carriers, j Ltd., he delivered a case of cherries, a j pair of ducks and also ham On other ! occasions, he delivered cases of ben- j zine to Goode for his car. These usually came from the Yellow Express Garage. Witness had instructions not to charge for the goods so delivered. The hearing was adjourned.
