CHANNEL SWIM PLAN.
Christchurch Girl Making Preparations. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyrignt. LONDON, June 28. The Christchurch swimmer, Miss Lily Copplestone. says that two miles ot her ride across the Channel on an aqua plane were agony because of the strain on her limbs. The aquaplane often bounced out of the water and she found difficulty in maintaining her balance. She felt faintly seasick. Miss Copplestone is training hard for the Channel swim in August. She expects shortly to swim the Solent, where the sea is very choppy.
