APPEAL FOR OLD GOLD.
To raise money with which to buy coal for needy families in Christchurch, the Seventh Day Adventist Home Welfare Society is making an appeal for old gold. The object of the society is first of all to help needy families that are adherents to the Seventh Day Adventist doctrine and after that to make any surplus funds available for general relief. The appeal was commenced on Saturday last and already a considerable amount of old gold has been donated by the congregations of the various Seventh Day Adventist churches in Christchurch. The gold is being collected at the conference office, 902, Colombo Street.
