Pound Scheme Collection.
A meeting of householders was called recently in the Shirley School to consider what steps should be taken to assist the Citizens’ Central Committee in its Pound Scheme collection. A committee was set up to canvass the district and the results of th'a canvass have proved to be satisfactory, a large number of householders having signified their willingness to assist on the same lines as previously. The first collections will be made on July 2.
