Meeting of Christchurch Sports Club. The Executive Committee of the Christchurch Sports Club met last evening. The Tiniaru Boxing Association wrote advising that in thte inter-provincial amateur boxing tournament South Canterbury v. Canterbury, to be held in Christchurch next Tuesday e\’ening, they were sending representatives for the following classes: Bantam-weight 1, feather-Avteight 1, light-weight 2, welterweight 2, middle-weight, light-heavy and lieavy-Aveight 1 each. Mr It. H. Livingstone reported that the final Canterbury selection Avould be made on Friday after receiving the names of South Canterbury’s representatives. It was decided that the reduced prices of 2s Gd and Is 6d should prevail. Notice Avas received from Grey mouth agreeing to July 19 as the date for the interprovincial contests, Greymouth v. Canterbury, at Christchurch. The New Zealand association wrote intimating that the New Zealand amateur championships Avould be held at New Plymouth during the week starting September 18. Greymouth wrote agreeing to the date July 19 suggested for the Inter-Pro-vincial contests Greymouth v. Canterbury, to be held at Christchurch. It was decided at the request of the New Zealand association that the Treston Shield be at once forwarded to the Napier association to be used for competition amongst the schools of Hawke's Bay.
