ANNUAL DANCE.
Staff of Sargood, Son and Ewen. The staff of Sargood, Son and Ewen, Ltd., held their annual dance in the Frascati last evening. Although wintry conditions prevailed, over 100 members of the staff and their friends were present. Sid Sbackel’s Orchestra provided the music. The guests of honour were: Mr and Mrs S. L. Partridge and Mr and Mrs C. H. Johnstone. Mrs Partridge wore a handsome black lace frock with a deep royal blue embossed georgette coatee in which was pinned a posy of bronze flowers. Mrs Johnstone’s frock was of black lace, with a belt of wide velvet. She wore a gold tissue coatee brocaded with red tulips and trimmed with white fur collar and elbow cuffs. The members of the committee were : Miss L. Butler. Messrs N. S. Strachan, S. V. Besley. J. K. Mawson and J. B. Bremner (secretary). Miss Butler wore an attractive jade green ring velvet frock with a deep flared flounce and a coatee of marigold ring velvet. Among those present were:— Met; - dames S. V. Besley, Trevor Goose mar, W.
