TENNIS AT WIMBLEDON.
King and Queen Witness Championships. United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. LONDON, June 25. J. Crawford’s defeat of J. S. Oliff at the Wimbledon championships to-day, and F. J. Perry’s victory over AmeAllison, afford little index as to what Allison, affords little index as to what is likely to happen to Crawford when he faces Perry, who to-day won rather easily and is certainly a tough proposition. There was nothing in Oliff’s strategy really to put Crawford to the test. Their Majesties the King and Queen arrived early and stayed late and were rapturously received. They saw the super-showman, Jean Borotra (France) defeated by the youthful Spanish champion, Maier. Francis X. Shields was compelled to fight to the bitter end in his match with Menzel.
