SELECTION TO-DAY. 1

All Black Rugby Team for Australia, TWENTY-FIVE PLAYERS. The New Zealand Rugby selectors will choose to-day the twenty-five players to represent the Dominion on the Australian tour this season. The selection will be made after the North Island v. South Island match, but the choice is not limited to those playing in to-day’s game. The North Island selector is Mr E. M’Kenzie and the South Island selector Mr A. M’Donald. The New Zealand team will leave on June 17, opening their tour with a match against New South Wales on June 25. They will return to New Zealand about the end of July. Two more men than is customary will go with the 1932 All Blacks, only twenty-three having been sent previously on most occasions. Experience has taught that twenty-three men may ■ not be sufficient for a tour of ten games. The hard grounds of Queensland and New South Wales lead to more injuries than would be the case in New Zealand. Twenty-five players were sent in 1929, but before the tour was over an extra half-back had to be sent over for the last few games. Mr M’Donald leaves for Wellington this evening, where he will be stationed in the future, his service this afternoon being 'probably the last he will do directly for Rugby in the. South Island. Mr M’Donald is an old Otago and New Zealand representative forward. Mr W. J. Wallace, of the 1905 All Blacks, will manage the team on the Australian tour, and he also was in Christchurch to-day. Mr S. R. Murray, of Wellington, has been appointed baggage man and masseur of 'the team.
