FORMER CONSTABLE DEAD.
The death occurred yesterday at his residence, 25, Wyndham Street, Papanui, of William Pool.’ who was police constable stationed at Papanui for a number of years prior to his retirement from the New Zealand Police Force. The late Mr Pool, who was seventynine years of age, was an active member of the Papanui Bowling Club and was honorary treasurer of the Memorial Hall Committee for several years.
