U.S. SENATE REJECTS BEER
United Press Assn.—By Electrlo Telegraph—Copyright. WASHINGTON, May 18. The Senate to-day rejected an amendment to the Tax Bill to legalise 2.75 per cent beer as the basis of new taxes by 61 votes to 24. This is tantamount to a test vote on Prohibition.
