VALUABLE PAINTING.

Presented for New Art Gallery.

A valuable painting by Van der Velden, a famous Dutch artist, who was a resident in Christchurch for some years, has been presented to the new Art Gallery, by Mr H. C. D. Van Asch, a well known solicitor, and has been accepted by’ the Art Gallery Committee. The painting, which is entitled “ The Dutch Funeral,” has been in the possession of the Van Asch family for many years. It is at present at the home of Mr H. C. D. Van Asch, at the corner of Bealey Avenue and Springfield Road, St Albans.
