PROUD OF MUSEUM.

No Reduction in Auckland Contributions. (Special to the “Star.”) AUCKLAND, May 19. No reduction in the contributions of local bodies to the Auckland East Museum is likely this year. Several made application to the council for relief, but the president (Mr A. G. i Lunn) said that if they were obliged to ; accept £SOO a year less from local bodies they would have to close their ! doors. The bulk of the people were proud of the museum, and did not grudge the small amount of the penny ! a year which they contributed.
