BELFAST W.C.T.U.

The monthly meeting of the Belfast branch of the Women's Christian Temperance Union was held in the Presbyterian Sunday School. A short prayer meeting, led by the evangelistic superintendent, preceded the meeting. A letter from Canon H. O. Hanby stated that May 22 was a suitable date for the quarterly church rally at St David's Church. Notice was given that Mr Silcock would be the speaker at the Band of Hope in the Methodist Church on Friday evening. A report of the North Canterbury W.CT.IT. executive was given by the delegate. After a discussion it was decided to revert to holding the meetings in the afternoons for the winter months.
