A COLD MORNING.

First Hoar Frost of the Season. This morning was the season's first hoar frost, and reluctant early risers found the city' under a mantle of white. There were 8.9 degrees of frost, this being the heaviest to date. It was twice as hard as yesterday's Irost. The next heaviest frost to this morning’s was on May 4, when 6.fi degrees was registered. The winter has been exceptionally mild so far. Threatening frosts h«*ve been disposed of by showers of rain and unsettled conditions have ruled, but last night the atmosphere was for the greater part clear.
