NEW OIL COMPANY.
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received May 18, 12.30 p.m.) CANBERRA, May 18. An offer by a private enterprise to take over the Newnes Shale Oil Works has been accepted by the Federal Government. H. Treganowan and C. Chambers have undertaken to form a company with a capital of £500,000 to develop the shale deposits.
