Arrangements for Meeting at Brighton. At a meeting; of the Racing Committee of the Pioneer Sports Club to consider mutters in connection with next Saturday s championship meeting, to be held on the New Brighton Trotting Grounds, the chairman (Mr R. H. Parker) reported that the A.C.U. had forwarded the official blue riband for presentation to the winner of the classic event, which It was decided should be presented at the conclusion of the race Ho added that the entries had exceeded all expectations. Mr A. J. Harper reported that the track would he availitblo operations between the row and Wednesday evenings. It was decided to instai a loud speaker for announcing the results and any variations made in the handicaps. The championship, over a distance of twelve miles, will be front a rolling start.
