Unexpected Appearance of Wakakura. H.M.S. Wakakura arrived at Lyttelton unexpectedly at four o’clock yesterday afternoon from Dunedin via Akaroa. The vessel will remain in port until next Saturday, when she leaves for Akaroa with a party of naval reservists, who will undergo a week’s ingThe Wakakura will spend one week in every three at Lyttelton until April 26, when she is due to sail for Wellington. Harvest Thanksgiving Services. Harvest thanksgiving services will be held at St Saviour’s Church, West Lyttelton, to-morrow. The morning service will be taken by Mr C. Brydges-Jones, and at 6.30 p.m. the vicar, the Rev G. Maclaverty, will preach. Bowling. Playing in the Lyttelton Bowling Club’s championship singles last evening, T. Palmer defeated T. Mahar in the semi-final round. T. Mahar will play W. H. Dunlop and S. Sinclair plays T. Palmer. The following rink will represent the Lyttelton Club in the Champion of Champion rinks at Christchurch this afternoon: R. Clow, R. Fenton, A. M’Donald, and W. H. Dunlop.
