SEARCH MADE BY POLICE
Gold Found on Marama’s Passengers. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, March 4. Before the Marama sailed to-day detectives visited the ship and searched several passengers and confiscated varying amounts of gold. Four or five passengers were concerned and the amounts seized ranged from £2O to £3O. The passengers were allowed to proceed. The police had received information that gold was being taken out of the country, and consequently carried out a search.
