ALL NATIONS FAIR.
Support from Spreydon Committee. As the result of a delightful afternoon party arranged by Mrs H. K. Alleson at her home, Merivale Lane, yesterday, a further collection of gifts and money was made for the All Nations Fair. The guests were entertained with items by Mrs A. E. G. Lyttle (songs) and Miss A. M. Ward (piano solos). Afternoon tea was served in the dining room which was beautfully decorated with bowls of hydrangeas and autumn foliage.
Those present were: Mesdames H. E. Suckling, G. Pascoe, H. L. Armitage, J. A. Coltart, A. E. G. Lyttle, C. J. Jones, R. W. Ward, A. R. Jordan, K. H. Fountain, Leyden W. Baker, Misses Ward (2), and Harvey (Wellington). Further Support.
A meeting convened by Mrs Digby Neave was held in the St Martin’s Schoolroom, Lincoln Road, Spreydon, yesterday, with a view to assisting the All Nations Fair.
Mrs A. P. Andrew was appointed secretary, and the representatives present were formed into a committee. It was arranged to hold a “ bring and buy ” fair on March 19 in the Coronation Hall, Spreydon, to raise money for the forthcoming fair.
Mrs Cecil* Wood, chairwoman of the Women’s Executive Committee, addressed the meeting and outlined the objects of the All Nations Fair.
