Bride Wears Unusual Frock of Fawn Lace. COOKSON—MURPHY. The wedding was celebrated recently, at the residence of the bride’s parents, 36, Ranfurly Street, St Albans, of Ruby Isabell, eldest daughter of Mr and Mrs Charles Murphy, and Charles Henry Cookson. The Rev L. North officiated at the ceremony. The bride, who was given away by her father, -wore an ankle-length frock of fawn lace and net over apricot satin, with a smart hat of Bangkok straw trimmed with flowers to tone. She carried a bouquet of pink lilies and maidenhair fern. The two bridesmaids, Miss Constance Murphy (sister of the bride) and Miss Lillian Agassiz (cousin of the bride), wore blue frocks of crepe de chine and satin respectively, with hats to tone with their frocks, and they carried beautiful bouquets of gladioli and maidenhair fern. The bridegroom was attended by Mr, W. Stubberfield as best man and Mr J. Robinson as groomsman. The wedding was recently solemnised at St John’s Church, Woolston, of Gertrude Florence Faville, third daughter of Mrs L. Champ and the late Mr C. E. Faville, and Hector William, youngest son of Mr and Mrs H. Eastwick, of Woolston. The officiating minister was the Rev F. A. Tooley. The bride, who was escorted by her stepfather, wore a simple frock of ivory satin beaute, ankle-length, made with long sleeves, and trimmed with brilliant ornaments. The hand-embroid-ered veil was held in place by a coronet of orange blossom, and fell in graceful folds to her feet. She carried a sheaf of white gladioli and maidenhair fern. Misses Mabel and Rena Faville attended their sister as bridesmaids. They wore ankle-length dresses of pink and blue silk athol, with soft felt hats to tone. Little Ngaio Chapman, of Willowby, was flower-girl, wearing, a Victorian frock of apricot satin and a bandeau of mauve ribbon and silver leaves. All carried bouquets of hothouse flowers and maidenhair fern. Mr E. Eastwick attended his brother as best man, and Mr Allan Smith was groomsman. After the ceremony, a reception was held in the Druids’ Hall, Woolston. The bride’s mother, who received the guests, wore a frock of black crepe de chine, with a cream lace front, and black Bangkok straw hat relieved with a coloured ornament, and a fox fur. She carried a bouquet of cream and red roses and autumn leaves. The bridegroom’s moth' * was in navy blue floral satin and ecru lace, with a navy blue hat, and she carried a bouquet of hothouse flowers and fern. When Mr and Mrs Eastwick left for their wedding tour, the bride was wearing a frock of azure blue celanese with apricot georgette trimmings, a navy flecked tweed coat and an apricot felt hat.
