THIRTY RIDERS.
Entrants for Motor-Cycling Championships. THE DOMINION’S BEST. Thirty riders have entered for the championship track motor-cycling meeting to be held at the New Brighton Racecourse on Saturday next. The big attraction is the New Zealand open championship, for machines of any power, which accounts for the large number of entries for the meeting. The track will be open for training on Tuesday and Wednesday evenings next from 6 to 7. Among the entrants are:—L. B. Lemon, of Auckland, the middle-weight champion last year; P. Coleman, the most outstanding rider in New Zealand at the present time and a world’s record holder; 11. Maugham, of Masterton, who this 3 r ear won the New Zealand middle-weight championship; R. Ranby, who won three of the most important events at the Christchurch meeting in February last; W. Viggers and R. Oliver, of Wellington; W. Higgs, A. Fuller, J. Flowers and H. G. Flowers, of Nelson; R. Grant, of Collingwood; W. R. Willmott, of Timaru; and C. Blackiock, W. Thomas, T. M’Cleary and R. Carpenter, among the most outstanding of the local riders.
