Mr C. A. J. Randrup returned to Christchurch this morning after a visit to Auckland. Messrs J. C. Robinson (Timaru) and J. Bowen (Sydney) are staying at the Clarendon Hotel. Messrs T. Uyevana (Tokio) and James A. Parker and I. S. Brooksbank (Dunedin) are guests at Warner’s Hotel. The Government has appointed Mr W. G. Riddell, ex-senior stipendiary Magistrate, chairman of the board of appeal under the Cinematograph Films Act. He will fill the position occupied by the late Mr 11. M. Gore.
