ROUND THE DANCES,
The Palais Royal are holding their usual sixpenny dance at the Ferry Road Hall on Wednesday next. There is also a dance on Christmas Eve. The Scottish Society will bold a dance in their hall in Manchester Street to-night. There will be the usual dance of the Union Rowing Club at 440, Oxford Terrace, to-night at 8 o’clock. The Christchurch Corsair Social Club will hold a Christmas carnival at 8 o’clock next Tuesday. Cowlin’s orchestra will supply the music at the dance conducted by the Wembley Dance Assembly at Selwyn Street next Tuesday. The usual Old Time Dance conduced by the Scottish Society will be held in their hall on Tuesday next. Old and new dances will be the programme for a Staretta dance, to be given by the Star of Opawa Lodge at Wilson’s Road to-night. Bob Bradford’s orchestra will provide the music for the dance at Dixieland to-night. Next Monday night an old time dance will be held in the Caledonian Hall. Bryson’s band will supply the music and will feature “ The Blue Danube ” waltz and “ The Lily of Laguna ” Schottische, besides many other old familiar airs.
