BANKER ADMITS THEFTS.
Stole £36,708 after Forging Signature.
United Press Assn.—By Electric Telegraph—Copyright. (Received December 19, noon.) PERTH, December 19. Allan Baxter, aged thirty-six, manager of the State Savings Bank at Collie, was committed for trial on a charge of having stolen £36,708. Evidence was given that Baxter had forged a depositor’s signature and had admitted making bets.
